some of the 7.5G have holes in them, some do not.
the 7.5G are plastic - hard plastic, but plastic. Not sure what the 12G are - not going to say they are clay as I am not an expert, but they are heavy and do not have a plastic feel to them. the 12G have a brand name on them but it is not readable.
