    Description

    Up for consideration is an Antique Civil War era original hand colored lithograph dated 1862 by Currier & Ives depicting General Major Henry Halleck. The piece sports it's original frame with good early hand sawn rough cut one board back with old nails. The litho measures 10 by about 14 inches whereas the overall dimensions of the frame 13.75 inches by 17.75 inches. I cleaned the outside front of the glass. I can't get the closeup photos to focus...so I will probably have to remove the glass and clean the inside of the glass and shoot a better photo while it is out. So at this point I can say that the colors are bright and lively but I can not attest to whether the litho has soiling will reshoot tomorrow thanks for your patience.
