Offered here is a stunning antique circa late 19th. to early 20th. century Art Nouveau- Arts&Crafts Jewelry or Sewing box casket. Continental in my opinion. The box made of wood and cardboard in octagonal shape and is
completely
covered
with gold velevet. The lid featuring Art nouveau tapestry panel with
Maidens
in flower garden and is binding with twisted silk rope.
Inside
lined
with pink satin and capitone with brass pins.
Beautiful gild brass lock on front in Secession flowers motif. No signed or marked. Was found in estate collection in Paris. Very good preserved with minor wear on textile on bottom. Inside with torn pin bands taht supportin the lid but this only contribute the age and authenticity. I'm selling it originally as is found
