selling this for a friend
who (1)
knows little about it other than he got them at an estate auction long ago, (2) is retiring and moving soon, and (3) wants to sell his basement full of antiques and other collectibles. What follows is what I can say with fair certainty based on observation (and a little research).

Measurements
: Diameter of 8.5" at top of basket, 8" at bottom of basket, and 6" at the base it sits upon. Handle is 9" wide. Height--at highest point--is 11.5." The basket piece--not including handle--is about 7" tall.
* A structurally sound and solid piece with a firmly attached handle.
* I am
guessing
that the composition is
wicker
with
bamboo
reinforcements on bottom.

Not sure
of exact
date
of production... Most similar pieces I found info one claim to be from the
1920s
or slightly earlier.

... Original paint and patina. Uncleaned and unrestored. Structurally sound and solid with a firmly attached handle. Exhibits some paint loss and some minor cracks in the wicker in a few places. No holes or notable dings/dents.
