With the MotorGuide Xi Series wireless foot pedal users can easily control their electric trolling motor from anywhere in the boat. Simply pivot the foot pedal toe-down to steer right, or heel-down to steer left, with a separate dial adjusting speed. Xi Series trolling motors equipped with Pinpoint GPS provide users with enhanced functionality. Simple Steps for new consumers to have good experience: 1. Make sure the motor is in the deployed position 2. Make sure the pedal is on (instructions on back of pedal) by pressing and holding the prop on button until a beep is heard 3. Power the trolling motor, within 10 seconds, press and hold the prop and anchor buttons at the same time to sync 4. If this doesn’t work, change batteries and repeat the process.
