British West Riding Duke of Wellingtons Uniform Field Service Officers Side Cap

Description

Nice original British Army Officer's uniform side cap to an officer of the The Duke Of Wellington's West Riding Regiment.  I believe these side caps were worn with the Officer's Patrol Blues order of dress in lieu of a visor cap.
Dark blue soft wool material with gilt thread cording to the top of cap - a wire thread West Riding Regiment sewn on officer's cap badge and both original small silver elephant on brass buttons present.  The cap has a bit of fading to the dark blue - with a bit more fading on the non cap badge side and some age patina to the gilt cord work on top.  No noticeable holes or moth damage that I can see.   Displays very well!
The inside lining with velvet material sweat band and makers sewn in label is still present:

A very nice looking -  very good well made quality officers side cap.  I am not sure of the age if just after WW1 to before WW2 time period??
