    Description

Offered here is an original wood-cut engraving of Abraham Lincoln entertaining guests at the White House in 1862. This two page depiction was the ONLY time during the Civil War that Mr. Lincoln allowed publication of an image of frivolity at the White House. This is an original, framed picture from Harper's Weekly issued in 1862 and all attendees of note are identified at the bottom of the engraving.
