This is an open-box that was taped and slightly damaged from a closed business.
I know what you are thinking……..open box means a store demo and probably some of the screws or other parts are likely missing.
I agree, I would think the same thing.
In fact, I did assume that when I purchased it.
However, to allay your concerns, I arranged every part in a very visible arrangement, made photos of both the installation instructions and parts list, and a wide photo of everything in total. I will let you see for yourself using the eBay hover/zoom photo tool that everything is accounted for.
The only item not shown is the installation template which is printed on the inside of the cardboard box.
Obviously if your intention is to put the quick-release bracket into service, then the box condition is meaningless.
In the end, what we have is a new-old-stock open-box item that is complete according to the parts list, but in a somewhat damaged/taped box that is reflected in the nice discount. Enjoy and good fishing.
