Description

Attention Buyer: Replacement Ant included in case of damage.
THESE ARE SO FRAGILE THAT OCCASIONALLY YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR ITEM WITH A BROKEN OFF LEG OR HEAD OR OTHER BODY PARTS.  DUE TO THIS PROBLEM EACH ONE COMES WITH AN ADDITIONAL ANT THAT IS PREPACKAGED SO IT WILL TRAVEL SAFELY JUST IN CASE THE ONE IN THE DOME DOESN'T.  THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS ON THE BROKEN ONE BUT THERE WILL BE A FREE ADDITIONAL ANT TO REPLACE IT WITH SHOULD THE ONE IN THE DOME GET MESSED UP IN THE MAIL.  CONTACT US IF THIS HAPPENS AND WE WILL SEND A VIDEO ON HOW TO REPLACE.
IF THE DOME ANT IS BROKEN JUST SCRAPE IT OFF THE POST AND REPLACE WITH THE NEW ONE.  A DAB OF HOT GLUE WORKS BEST, IF YOU USE ELMERS OR E6000 LET IT GET A LITTLE TACKY FIRST.
HOPEFULLY YOU WILL HAVE NO PROBLEMS AND WILL JUST HAVE AN EXTRA  ANT TO DISPLAY OR GIVE AS A GIFT.
THIS HAPPENS SO MUCH THAT THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM WITHOUT JUST REMOVING THE ITEM FROM LISTINGS.
I AM ALSO OFFERING THESE IN FLOATING FRAMES (AT A LOWER PRICE) AS THERE ARE NO ISSUES WITH BREAKAGE ON THESE, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED LET ME KNOW AND I WILL SEND YOU A LINK IF YOU CANNOT LOCATE IN MY STORE.
Please Note:  Pictures are an example of what you will be receiving and might not be the exact one.  They are all about the same.
O35 #4  This listing is for one display.  This is a large Soldier Ant showcased nicely in a glass dome display with a clear bottom.  He is secured to an acrylic post for easy viewing.  The display is approx. 3 1/2" x 2" and would look great in any collection or for educational purposes.  This guy is big!  You definitely would not want to see him crawling on you!   The dome will keep your specimen clean and safe for years to come.  The dome is removable.
Species and fun facts: Camponotus gigas
Insect
Camponotus gigas or giant forest ant is a large species of ant, native to Southeast Asian forests. It is one of the largest ants in existence, measuring in at 20.9 mm for normal workers, and 28.1 mm for the soldiers. Honeydew makes up 90% of their diet, but they will also consume insects and bird droppings.  These are some of the largest ants in the world.  These are sometimes referred to as Bullet ants because they closely resemble them but they are not true bullet ants.

Before purchasing this item you must agree to the following: No claims for small broken parts such as antennae, detached tails, leg, head or broken tarsi.  These small parts are easily fixable and you should be aware that you may have to fix (glue) a part or two when purchasing items like this.  If there is a major problem I will take care of the matter.  These are all natural specimens and may have a leg or part of an antenna missing, I do my best to make sure they are very good but sometimes one gets by me, any damage is very slight and will not effect the looks of the specimen.   See my feedback for confirmation.  I rarely have a problem but even with good packaging it is impossible for us to Guarantee that specimens will arrive totally intact. If you pay for Priority mail your items will be covered by postal insurance which will cover any damage in shipping-First class does not cover damage as it is not insured.
