    Description

    This rare piece of Black Americana shows a young white man ventriloquist and his marionette, a racially stereotyped Black lady, overtly sexy with full lips wearing a revealing gown. The pair are signed Lucigaro & Dulce, and dated 1948. I can only imaging the back and forth dialog which in 1948 would have been full of acceptable racist tropes and phrasing of the day.
    The photo measures 8" X 10" and is clean with good contrast. The corners will disappear under a matte if framed. The back is unmarked.
