Description
Vintage Leonard Bailey LITTLE VICTOR # 51 PlaneThis is a little plane that Leonard Bailey included in his line of planes that he started in 1875 when he split from Stanley. He named his planes VICTOR and introduced them at the US Centennial celebration in 1876 which took place in Philadelphia. They were very well received and his sales went well.
This is the number 51, 3 3/16 inches long with a cutter that is just at 1 inch wide. It is not cracked, chipped, broken or repaired. It still has a bit of the original Japanning left inside. The cutter is not marked as all I have seen.
The shipping cost does include insurance. I am always open to combined shipping for good savings.
I try to describe the old things I sell but they are used and being sold “AS IS”.
Please look at the pictures and read my return policy.
Buyer's remorse is not accepted
This is not Walmart
Please check out my other auctions, Thanks, Steve
If you are interested in old tools and live in the northwest please consider joining the Pacific Northwest Tool Collectors for only .00 a year. If you are not lucky enough to live out here, you can check into M-WTCA, Mid-West Tool Collectors Assn. They are almost nation wide and the publications are worth the .00 annual membership fee. There is also the PAST group in California.
I have tried to show all this in the pictures but, should you have any questions, ask me. Please give me a little time to respond. I want you to know what you are buying and will do my best to help. I do make mistakes and have overlooked things in the past. The plane is being sold “AS IS” so, look carefully and let me know if you want more pictures or information.
I am always willing to combine shipments to save money. Shipping costs sometimes include insurance and a modest packing and handling charge. Please let me know you will be bidding on more than one item. Thanks.
I have shipped to New Zealand before and will certainly be able to do that again. I just can't include that in the shipping options. Shipping outside the USA will be more and depend on destination and weight. PLEASE READ THE SHIPPING INFO FOR PAYMENT AND SHIPPING OUTSIDE THE USA AND WAIT FOR MY INVOICE. I charge $ 5.00 handling and packing for shipments outside the USA. There is extra paperwork, an additional 10 miles of driving and a wait in line of up to 45 minutes at the Post Office.
