    Vintage Inuit Canadian Soapstone Eskimo Seal Hunter 1973
    Indigenous Northern Art
    This hand carved soapstone sculpture of a Seal Hunter is signed Port Hardy, B.C. 6/27/73 on the bottom, along with four diagonal slash marks.
    The original Canadian seals are still intact.
    Although unidentified, the figure is carved in the style of Paul Toolookook (1947-2003).
    Carved in a primitive simplistic style, the Hunter is on his knees, with both of his arms wrapped around his captured prey.
    Size is 4" tall by 6 1/2" wide by 4 1/2" deep. Weight is 1 3/4" pounds.
    Condition is Excellent, with no chips, or cracks.
